FOR WHAT PURPOSE WILL THE PERSONAL DATA BE PROCESSED?

The CODPCAT will process personal data for the purpose of managing membership applications, fulfilling the functions and purposes described in the College's bylaws, and, in particular, defending, supporting, and representing professionals in the sector, as well as all other legally assigned powers, such as issuing membership cards and issuing certificates of achievement or accreditation.

Likewise, the CODPCAT may also process personal data for the purpose of sending commercial communications informing about the signing of agreements with companies or entities, public or private, for the sale of products or provision of services under preferential conditions for members of the corporation. The CODPCAT will only process data for this purpose when it has the express, free, informed, and unequivocal consent of the member or, where applicable, the interested party by checking the corresponding box.

The owners of the personal data may revoke their consent for the processing of their data at any time, in both cases free of charge, as well as exercise the rights granted to them by the GDPR.

FOR HOW LONG WILL THE DATA BE RETAINED?

Without prejudice to the rights mentioned in the previous section, the CODPCAT will retain personal data for the time strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes detailed above. The CODPCAT may keep such data duly blocked during the period in which liabilities may arise from its relationship with the personal data subjects.

WHAT IS THE LEGAL BASIS LEGITIMIZING THE PROCESSING OF DATA?

The processing of personal data related to the purpose of carrying out the professional activity is based on the legitimate interest of the CODPCAT as a public law corporation, as well as on the consent granted by the members.

The processing of personal data for the purpose of sending commercial communications is based on the consent freely granted, specifically, informed, and unambiguously by the personal data subjects for this purpose.

TO WHOM WILL THE DATA BE DISCLOSED?

The CODPCAT will not transfer or communicate personal data to third parties without first obtaining the consent of the data subjects, except for communications to judicial or administrative bodies, as well as to State Security Forces and Corps, if required by current legislation.

WHAT RIGHTS DO PERSONAL DATA SUBJECTS HAVE?

Subjects of personal data have the following rights:

Right of access: You have the right to obtain from the CODPCAT information about whether personal data concerning you is being processed, to access it, and to obtain information about the processing.

Right to rectification: You have the right to have the CODPCAT rectify your personal data if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
